Question: Do I need a partner?

Modern Jive is a partner dance but you don't need to bring a partner with you.

We move people around, usually in lines as it allows you to encounter varying tensions whilst leading or following with different dancers.

It is a proven method for faster learning, and a great way to get to know the other dancers.

Question: What should I wear?

Shoes: Smooth soled shoes, leather or suede soles are best (for spinning), with 'sensible' heels.

Clothing: Smart casual clothing but light layers are best.
